This Sunday, on 1st of December, me and a group of local adventurers went to the eastern part of Peloponnese, to hike the on the mount Parnon. Before to start the hike we had an opportunity to give a glance on Leonidio, a small town beneath the mountain. There, we loaded ourselves up with some coffee and morning snacks.
The hike wasn't to hard, speaking frankly. However, it required a lot of time to get till the planned destination. The trail was rocky and twisty on the turns. Luckilyn the weather favored us with sun. For a guy from Northern Europe the weather conditions were simply perfect. We even managed to spot some mountain goats hiking on the top of the hill. I believe they also spotted us.
By the end of the hike, we were rewarded with one more visited in Leonidion where the dinner took place. Pita souvlaki, very traditional, isn't it? In total, the trip took around 16 hours, starting and ending up in EOS Kalamata parking spot. That was a great journey, and that was a great day!
